Along the Mississippi Gulf Coast including the Florida Panhandle, Alabama, Mississippi & Louisiana

Bluegrass Down South is striving to provide some exciting,  wholesome entertainment for the folks from the northern hemisphere, that come our way to escape the cold weather up north during the winter months.  They like to call themselves "snowbirds", we like to call them our friends from up north.  Or maybe we should call them "mountain billies" since we are called hillbillies?

Folks from Northern Michigan are meeting and making new friendships with folks from Southern Michigan.  Likewise for folks from Ohio, Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and lots of other states, even Oregon.  And us hillbillies from Alabama are enjoying every minute of it...especially listening to them talk.
They sure talk funny!  Or is it us folks that talks funny?

'Most" of our audiences have never experienced nor even heard bluegrass music before, so we are introducing them to bluegrass for the first time....and they're loving it.  In fact, in several cases, they're going back up north in the spring looking for a way to get bluegrass started in their home areas.  Some are even trying to arrange "bluegrass events" and have asked several of our bluegrass bands if they would be interested in coming up their way during the summer months.

Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in Foley, AL has a "large" modern heated and air-conditioned building with excellent acoustics capable of seating 600 or more folks...a fantastic place for bluegrass music to happen.

There are several "large" recreational vehicle camping grounds located in our area and the patrons of all the camping grounds, as well as those from the many condos along the beach in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, are all welcomed to come and enjoy the bluegrass events being held at Johnny's.

While our bluegrass programs are currently being scheduled only during the winter months, it is our hope that support from local residents of our area will begin to grow to a point that we can begin providing year-round bluegrass events.
